Primary School Curriculum

Our primary curriculum is rigorous right from the beginning. This is so we gradually prepare our students for the academic pressure they will face for the 11+ and eventually for GCSEs.

We start with Year 1, so students are familiar with the basics of Maths and English. As we move into Year 3 and 4, our students already start tackling secondary school topics such as fractions and percentages, ready to take on our intensive 11+ Preparation Programme. We also start our students from Year 3 on Verbal and Non-Verbal exercises, so they can get used to the style of questions.

Year 5-6 is our most popular albeit intense year. We run through a carefully-curated selection of 11+ Papers right from September all-year-round to the beginning of the next September month. The 11+ plus requires a lot from our students, so we prepare them for the pass requirements with our lesson structures. Alongside these lessons, we host our very own English Club and 11+ Extra Club. These optional clubs prepare our students for comprehension, maths and writing skills respectively.

After the big hurdle of the 11+ and (a well deserved break!), we welcome back our students to prepare for their SATs and subsequently secondary school.

Secondary School English Curriculum

From Year 7, the students are introduced to fiction and non-fiction reading and writing, where they will become well versed in a range of comprehension and writing skills.
